My Journey in Accounting World - Part 1

Well,
About the positive vibes I mentioned a lot in previous posts,
I decided to write something more useful
Rather than I write about my love story
Because that thing will never end
Ahahahaha

I wanna share you about my journey in accounting world
Why accounting? Why oh why?

So it started back in high school when I unfortunately entered the natural science major (IPA)
Because of my mother who wants me become a Doctor (What's on earth I'd become a doctor???)
I really struggled to graduate that time
I always in class F-H, if you know SMAN 8 Jakarta, you will know what's that mean
Man I really hate my high school

In my second year, I joined EF Matraman and met my senior
Who at that time also study for their final exam
I really remembered that time, when we waited traffic light to turn red so we can across the street
I ask her "what do you wannabe in future? what university and major do you choose?"
And she told me she wants to be an auditor, in KPMG, or financial consultant. She said she know someone who become a financial consultant, and that person said, it provides a very good salary and flexible work hour. Therefore, she chose accounting major, and she said, University Indonesia has the best accounting program.
It snapped me suddenly.
"AUDITOR....FINANCIAL CONSULTANT...ACCOUNTING..."
The words I never know before

Why?
Most of my family comes from an entrepreneur
My parents that time only a staff in private company, and they never share their office story with me
Only 1 who become government staff, as a teacher
So, I never know what professional world looks like

Then we across the street
I'm gazing myself.....Auditor....Financial Consultant...Accounting....
Oke, I will be that person, who become an auditor or financial consultant
In order to achieve that goals, I must study in University Indonesia, Accounting Major

Then I went home
And things went as usual

By the time SPMB, I told my mom I don't want to be a doctor
I want to be an accountant
And I said that passing grade for doctor is insane (and actually accounting is the second insane)
But they refused, they said I must utilize my knowledge in high school
Well...Okay
I choose Chemical Technic for my first place option
Followed by Accounting and English Literature in third place
(Because I picked IPC for the test option)
My options seemed perfect right?
Am I succeed?
NO!
Hahahahhaa

I failed on my SPMB
Then I panicked!
Because my parent only allowed me to attend Jakarta's College and must government one.
Well, that mean I must entered University Indonesia
I have a very very very very strict yet furious parent
I can't object or refuse
So I also applied in STAN and UMB UI
They have the same date of test!
What a coincidence!
I told my parent,
They said I must choose UMB UI
Since the chance for woman in STAN very very low
And remembering my high school scores weren't that high
So, I chose UMB UI

I did it!
I passed the test
I entered Financial Accounting in University of Indonesia
Unfortunately it's Diploma Level
